Japanese has always given me a hard time, but I didn’t think my grip on the language was that loose! I mean, I can actually listen to anime and catch small parts now! If anything, I thought my comprehension was increasing.

I just saw the ME3 Launch Trailer, and something very funny caught my attention. At one point in the trailer, IGN’s comment of “Bigger, more intense, and even sexier,” flashed on the screen, and was immediately followed by the kid and the shuttle he was on being vaporized. As bad of a person as this might make me, I just DIED laughing at work. I had to step out for a second so I didn’t disturb the class in progress.

Good God, they should have paired that testimonial with one of the love scenes, NOT with the kid being blown out of the sky. But thank you, EA Marketing Department. That’s probably the best laugh I’ll have all week.

I have no idea what exactly is going on here, but I just couldn’t stop laughing when I saw it.

IGN is reporting that Bioware is currently working on new DLC to improve the ending of Mass Effect 3. Bioware co-founder Ray Muzyka posted this announcement on the company’s official site, adding that “We listen and will respond to constructive criticism, but much as we will not tolerate individual attacks on our team members, we will not support or respond to destructive commentary.”

Aside from confirmation that this DLC in under development, no other details have been released at this time.

Okay, I was going to stay away from all this brewing hate for ME3’s ending, but I feel like this article here is almost forcing me to speak up.

Guys. Seriously. That’s enough. Yes, the ending is not what we expected. I’ll admit that I was a bit disappointed too. But for people to become so fanatical that complaints are being issued to the federal government is just ridiculous. It makes the complainants look like idiots and puts the gamer community as a whole in a negative spotlight.

I understand that you’re very attached to the Mass Effect universe and story. I’m right there with you. But you’re taking this hatred way too far. If it’s genuinely upsetting you than take a step away from the game for a while and come back to it after you’ve had time to process everything you’re feeling (I had to put the game away for a week before I could start to get over the shock).

The technical writing professor in my lab is using the UI of Sacred 2 to demonstrate how information should be organized and presented for users. Honestly, I’m surprised she even knows what a video game is.
